The 2025 OPA provides a platform to appreciate mobile photography artistry and mobile camera technological development. The competition offers participants three separate divisions including Movement as well as Night and Low Light and Faces.
Participants who enter the “Movement” category must capture dynamic images whereas the “Night and Low Light” section requires photographs taken in low-lit environments. The “Faces” category accepts photos which accomplish two functions: showing faces and expressing emotions through their portraits.
The 2025 OPA welcomes smartphone users through two competition divisions: the OnePlus Group for OnePlus handset owners and the Public Group for users of other smartphones. Judging panel members consist of OnePlus founder Pete Lau together with Hasselblad ambassadors and photographers who will evaluate all submissions.
The competition results will be revealed on August 19th 2025. The main prize winner will receive $10,000 while all winners will get the OnePlus 13 smartphone and possible collaboration opportunities with OnePlus. The winners of this contest will see their entries published through the OnePlus website and 500px.
The OnePlus 13 maintains its Hasselblad collaboration by introducing enhanced mobile photography capabilities to the device. The triple-camera system of this device comes with the Dual Exposure Algorithm alongside Night Mode and Portrait Mode to enhance the competition’s categories.
