Motorola plans to introduce its latest affordable smartphone, the Moto G05, in India on January 7. Despite being a low-cost offering, the Moto G05 includes capabilities often reserved for phones costing below Rs 25,000. With Flipkart confirming crucial features and design information ahead of the official debut, Motorola is aiming to shake up the cheap category and compete with Xiaomiโ€™s Redmi A and C series.

The Moto G04 was introduced for Rs 6,999, and its successor, the Moto G05, is likely to cost approximately Rs 10,000 because to the significant changes it would receive. This new edition has a 90Hz display with 1,000 nits of peak brightness, Dolby Atmos sound, a vegan leather finish, water touch technology for use with wet hands, and the newest Android OS with two years of upgrades. It also has an IP52 water resistance certification, which provides protection from mild splashes. These features are commonly seen on more costly smartphones.

The Moto G05 features significant advancements throughout, notably in the display, camera, battery, and processor. According to Flipkart, the tablet will have a 6.67-inch display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Its outstanding feature is water touch technology, which enables users to interact with the screen even when wet. The phoneโ€™s IP52 classification will most likely provide increased durability by protecting it from minimal water exposure.

One of the most surprise features is the inclusion of a vegan leather back panel, which is uncommon in this price category. This not only gives the Moto G05 a quality appearance, but it also provides a strong grip. The phone comes in Green and Red and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a raised camera island for a contemporary style.

Internally, the Moto G05 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor, which is combined with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and supports virtual RAM technology. The phone is powered by a big 5,200mAh battery capable of 18W rapid charging. The camera arrangement consists of a 50MP dual back camera system and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The Moto G05โ€™s compatibility for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio will further enhance its premium appeal. With so many features on a low-cost handset, the Moto G05 appears to be trying to upend the low-cost smartphone industry and provide fierce competition in its market. In a few days, the deviceโ€™s official price should be disclosed. For all the latest information, keep checking India Today Tech.
