Verizon Gets a Huge Win, Establishing Itself as an Innovator and Leader in these Fields

Verizon has been rated a Leader in the inaugural Gartner Magic Quadrant for 4G and 5G Private Mobile Network Services. Verizon is the only US-based mobile carrier to achieve a position in the Leaders Quadrant.

Gartnerโ€™s Magic Quadrant for 4G and 5G Private Mobile Network Services is a research that examines technology suppliers who offer private cellular network solutions (also known as โ€œprivate LTE/5Gโ€).

Organisations throughout the world utilise Gartnerโ€™s Magic Quadrants to help them decide which supplier to engage with based on their individual requirements. The 4G and 5G Private Mobile Network Services study is intended for organisations who need to establish a dedicated 4G LTE or 5G infrastructure. Such infrastructures can be deployed in a specific geographic region, such as a factory, warehouse, university, or industrial site.

Vendors are evaluated based on two criteria: their โ€œability to executeโ€ and โ€œcompleteness of visionโ€.

The Ability to Execute criterion assesses a vendorโ€™s services for corporations based on operational effectiveness and efficiency. This factor also includes customer experience, sales execution and pricing, and the items and services supplied.

Meanwhile, the Completeness of Vision score evaluates service providersโ€™ ability to make persuasive assertions about the marketโ€™s present and future direction, innovations, and client demands. Vendors are evaluated based on their market knowledge, innovation, and product strategy.

A vendorโ€™s outcomes are classified into four categories: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries, and Niche Players. Verizon has been put in the Leaders category, which recognises firms with a clear vision and demonstrated execution. This is the highest ranking a vendor can achieve.

Verizon has worked tirelessly to serve and advance the market for private wireless networks, and I feel this recognition from Gartner, together with the market response from our customers, is incredibly rewarding.ย  โ€” Jennifer Artley, SVP of 5G Acceleration, Verizon Business

Artley emphasises Verizonโ€™s customer-centric strategy, which, paired with the carrierโ€™s core skill in network expansion, is critical to the carrierโ€™s market supremacy.

Why is Verizon getting the Leader position important?

Overall, this recognition reaffirms Verizonโ€™s commitment to innovation via a customer-centric lens. Verizonโ€™s first-place finish in this rating demonstrates its dominance in the burgeoning 4G and 5G private network markets.

While T-Mobile and AT&T are also working on private networks, Verizonโ€™s position in the Leaders Quadrant sets them apart. It demonstrates that Verizon can meet current business needs while still developing a solid future strategy.
