The V50 comes in three colorways: Rose Red, Starry Blue, and Titanium Grey, and has a similar look to the Vivo S20, which debuted in China last year. There is no indication on the pricing yet, but we wonโt have to wait long because Vivo plans to launch the V50 in late February.
The phoneโs launch webpage confirms some of the important specifications that were leaked only weeks ago. For example, the V50 has a cutting-edge 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), which is supplemented by another 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and the companyโs Aura Light LED ring lighting.
In addition, there is a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The camera system was co-engineered with Zeiss, which isnโt surprising given Vivoโs longstanding connection with the German optics business.
According to Vivo, the V50 is expected to be Indiaโs slimmest smartphone in the 6,000 mAh battery category, which clearly implies that it would be powered by a 6,000 mAh battery.
Vivo also announced that the V50 will be water and dust resistant (IP68/IP69). The phone will arrive with Funtouch OS 15, which is based on Android 15. Interestingly, the Starry Blue edition of the phone has the companyโs 3D-Star Technology, which gives the gadget a shimmering look reminiscent of the night sky.
According to earlier reports, the Vivo V50 would be equipped with Qualcommโs Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 CPU. The phone is believed to have a huge 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The battery is also believed to allow 90W wired charging.
